Working with excel spreadsheets on Dual Monitors

I have problems with working with excel spreadsheets on Dual Monitors. If happens at least with Office 2007. When I double click on excel files I cannot view one on one monitor and second on other.

However there is a resolution for it.

1. Go to Office and Microsoft Excel. 
2. Individually open the files, using File --> Open. 
3. Now we can drag each of the files on the individual monitors. 
4. I hear that this functionality can be achieved even on double clicking on the file names in Office 2010. 
5. Try it and let me know if you succeed.
